PARC Field Day 2016

Field Day for Ham Radio operators is a time to practice skills in Emergency Communications and Operations, make contacts and just plain old have fun! Our designation/section was 4AME. This past field day while I was still in Maine was my first Field Day as a Ham Radio Operator!
I was able to Get-On-the-Air under an Extra Class License and use HF to make 11 different contacts!  I want to thank WA1JMM for allowing me to operate under his license and have a good time doing it!
Photos were taken by both KB1WEA and KB1WRY.

PARC President, Debbie Kaczowski (KB1WRY) mentors Ed Tatro (KC1FLG) out in the open on a beautiful Sunday afternoon at the Get-On-The-Air (GOTA) station. They are operating a KX3, KXPA100 to multi-band ground plane on 20 meter SSB. In the background, George Dean (WA1JMM) is operating 40 meter CW from his air-conditioned truck… Photo Credit: KB1WEA
